Privacy rights in online interactions and litigation dynamics: A social custom view

چکیده
We develop a social custom model where population of media users decide whether to remain online and accept the platform’s data-gathering policy or abandon litigate for privacy violations. By allowing users’ concerns informational security co-evolve with number privacy-related trials, we find that system may converge multiple equilibria. When put relative emphasis on relational benefits interactions, trials contained provider imposes no limitations its activities. Conversely, when costs web-mediated become endemic platforms modulate their activities by mediating between profitability legal implications choice. use these results comment recent shift in orientation towards caution against inability institutions keep up process technological change.
